BC Rehab is dedicated to supporting people living with disabilities, advocating for a more accessible BC and promoting initiatives that increase opportunities and access for people with a disability. Leaving a bequest to BC Rehab is a testament that you value the work we do to increase personal independence and community access for those living with a disability. Once you have taken care of your family and loved ones, we hope that you will consider naming BC Rehab as a beneficiary in your will. However long it is before we receive your gift, you can trust BC Rehab to put your donation to work providing valuable equipment, programming and renovations to people who live with a physical disability.Leaving a bequest can also provide considerable tax relief for your estate. BC Rehab will issue a charitable donation receipt for the value of your gift. This receipt can be used to offset income tax owing by your estate.

Consider a request in the form of:

  • A lump sum
  • A percentage of your estate
  • Real estate, investments, jewellery or art
  • Leaving a percentage of your estate, rather than a lump sum, is a thoughtful and convenient gesture that automatically adjusts your gift to reflect the size of your estate

If you already have a will:

It’s not too late to add a bequest even if you already have an up-to-date will. For a small legal fee, you can add a codicil, or an amendment, to your existing will. Contact your legal advisor for more information.
